Oliver's Bum Day
This kid right here is amazing.
He never cries. He's had a much rougher life thus far than Savannah, and he never cries or complains. He just sleeps and cuddles with you.
He's been very stuffy, to the point where he can't breathe and we've had to keep switching out his nasal canulas to give him enough humidity to breathe. It's been really rough to watch.
Yet the guy is so calm and patient even though you know how rough that has to be.
And then there is his poor bum. He got the worst little rash. It was in a small area (well, his bum is super small) but so red and sore.
Again, the man never compained. Even in diaper changes when wiping him hurt, you could tell he was in pain and uncomfortable and he'd squirm - but he wouldn't cry.
MY SON IS AMAZING.
After a week of using various creams, it wasn't looking better. So the nurses decided to air it out.
HAHAHA.
They put him on his tiny tummy and covered his top with blankets.
They put a heater over him.
They put a diaper on his backwards, to catch pee but to leave his bum exposed.
They created a diaper barrier behind his bum to catch any potential projectile poops (they both projectile poop. This they did not get from my side of the family).
Again, he didn't complain. They left him like this for about 6 hours, and he just chilled. And slept. He likes to sleep.
AH! He's so cute all curled up. He loves sleeping on his tummy.
...And a random picture of Savannah.
The airing out did help, his rash looks so much better. Poor little man!
Love,
Brittney
