Yeah BABY!

I just got a pretty darn good phone call. It was from Jack, our HR Representative. He called to tell me that they (as in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) want to extend my internship till the end of the year. Can I just say that I felt like a thousand pounds had been lifted from my shoulders? Granted, it still isn't permanent. But it is a for sure job in this horrible economy for another 6 months. Jack told me they want me full time, and they are working/pushing to get me. He said, "we would like to keep you until at least the end of the year." AT LEAST being the key phrase. I can only be an intern for a year, at which point I am either hired or they have to let me go. So they are working on getting me on permanently. It is so reassuring/makes me feel good how many people here are rooting for me to stay on. Working to keep me. That is another think Jack said, he told me that all he hears about me is how well I am doing, how much everyone likes me, how everyone appreciates my willingness to take on any job, my enthusiasm. I work hard, and often I feel like I don't do the best job. Like I could do better, or someone else would be doing better. So it is nice to know that people, for the most part, do like me and want me to stay. It made my day.

Also, I got really good free food twice today.
