Vegas Vacation 2013

After Christmas, we both took 2 days off so we could have a vacation together! Our first since our honeymoon.

Trevor is AMAZING and planned the whole thing. The hotel was a surprise for me. He was so excited, and I spent tons of time trying to figure out which hotel we were staying at. In fact, we played the guessing game the entire month of December about Christmas presents and our Vegas trip.

I love surprises. That is more exciting to me than the actual gift - the suspense and wondering.

Trevor has always said the suspense doesn't matter to him at all, he is just as excited come Christmas morning if he knows his gift as if it is a surprise. Not so for me.

I was having a hard time deciding what to get him, and since he said he doesn't care if it's a surprise, I was going to run my ideas by him. Turns out he does love surprises. So we spent the whole month giving clues and guessing, and in Trevor's case - lying to me to get me off track.

So the Friday after Christmas (Dec 27) after work, we left for St.George. We spent the night there, and the next day drove to Vegas. the surprise hotel was the Luxor!

After checking in to the hotel, we walked the ENTIRE strip to the Wynn, where we bought tickets to see Le Reve. It was really fun walking the strip, minus the people handing out porn for prostitutes.

We stopped to eat dinner at the Harley Davidson Cafe. Trevor's dream come true.

We walked at least 5 miles and came back to the hotel and crashed.

The next day, we woke up and started the walk back to the Wynn for our 7:30 show. We planned to stop at all the hotels and just take our time.

Trevor was ready to go! And the best part is it was sandal weather!

Le Reve was AMAZING. The most incredible show either of us have seen!

We stopped on the walk back for a Vas Vegas buffet.

We walked at least 6 miles. It was fun but exhausting.

Trev wanted a picture by the camel at the Luxor. I declined. Surprising, right?

On the way out we stopped to eat lunch, and Trev gambled an entire dollar. We live on the wild side!

Trev got stopped on the strip by these 2 guys who wanted him to buy their CD's. They wouldn't' take no for an answer. So he ended up paying $10 for these CD's we didn't want, and the guys selling them felt gipped. They wanted $20. We put one in on the way home - it was the worst rapping with the F word every other word. We threw them away.

We stayed in St. George that night, then headed home on Jan 1! It was such a fun trip! Loved being on vacation with Trev. We've been through some very stressful and intense things since being married, and it was so nice to just get away together.

Love,
Brittney
