Kiss of death

For our date night, we went and saw the new Hunger Games movie and then had dinner at the Asian Star. It was snowing quite heavily, and we got an upstairs window view of all the snow. It was beautiful.

We got 2 sushi rolls. One was a Thai roll that was ok... the second was called the Kiss of Death.

It featured a habanero pepper and a ghost chili sauce.

Trevor really wanted to try it. He loves all things spicy. And the ghost chili sauce screamed out to him.

He was pretty nervous to try it. It took him a good 5 minutes to work up his courage. Its one of those things you really want to do, but really are scared to do, but feel like you have to? You know those things? I do dumb stuff all the time because of that feeling.

Here Trevor is, working through that fear...

And he does it! The roll is in!

Starting to feel the affects...

Starting to sweat...

Going to pass out? Maybe.

The crying has started. Followed by copious amounts of water, which actually makes it worse, FYI.

It started to get pretty bad, scaring me. So I ran and found a waitress and told her the situation and asked if she could bring us a little bit of rice to stick on his tongue?

She came back with this medley:

She said she's seen people (lots of people) throw up because it was so hot. She said she's perfected the cure - you put a sugar packet on your tongue, then squeeze lemon on it, followed by a coffee creamer.

It helped.

Love,
Brittney
