Conversations with Bob, Luisa and Trevor's Birthday parties, Wedding Invites, Hiking

Bob: WAPPA FRIED NUGGED

Me: WAPPA WHAT?

Bob: FRIED NUGGET

Me: What does that mean? I don't speak weird Bob

Bob: What a coincidence! Me neither!

Me: Uh... you do. You do all the time

Bob: NO WHAT NO!

Me: YEAH WHAT YEAH

Bob: Hmmmm no I don't think so. Sounds incorrect

Me: I win. Because you left the trampoline place off your list and that is a big problem. But I saved the day

Bob: Yeah, but I exist so I saved the day

BOOM SHAKA LAKA I WIN!!

Me: I exist and I SAVED THE DAY FIRST SO I WIN!

Bob: BUT I SAVED THE DAY MOST RECENTLY SO I WIN!

Me: Nope. You lose. Sorry, I still love you, but I WINNNNN

Bob: Actually, I win

Me: Actually I win

Bob: Pretty sure I win...

Me: Pretty sure there is no way I am not winning

Bob: Nope, I'm winning

Me: That just looks like you are crying not winning. Sad Face. Mine was a winning face.

(She's in a weird phase lately of taking pictures of herself and sending them to me to assert whatever it is she's saying... see here for more Bob faces)

Luisa's birthday party at the Westerner 5/4/13

Trev and I came, danced, and left. It was fun. What wasn't fun was the melt down I had before we left.

Trevor's Surprise Birthday Party 5/11/13

His birthday isn't until the 23rd, but I will be in Belgium from May 24 - June 2 so I can't celebrate that weekend, so I thought I would surprise him a bit early.

His best friends met at Chili's in West Valley, then after we went to Rocky Mountain Raceway where they had races and then a Trailer figure 8 demolition derby which is the coolest thing ever. Taylor and I went last year.

We showed up at the restaurant and I had planned all the details for weeks, but had left out one small detail - how to get him to the table where they were without him knowing.

We walk in and the hostess says, "are you with the big party or just the two of you?" Trev says, "just us two". Uhh, what do I do? The hostess says, "it will be 10 minutes." I'm glad of that, it gives me time to figure out what to do. They are all sitting at a table towards the back. I say, "lets walk around?" and start to walk in the direction I know they are. He doesn't move. "Why would we walk around?" he says. Difficult man. I notice the restrooms are at the back, in the general area I think they are. I say, "I have to go to the bathroom. Lets go to the bathroom." Trevor says, "I don't have to go to the bathroom." I say, "well we have 10 minutes, we minds well go to the bathroom." He says, "I don't have to go to the bathroom." SIGH. OK. I say, "Well come with me then?" He looks at me like I'm the worlds biggest loser. "It's West Valley" I say, "there are sketchy people here. Please just come with me?" He rolls his eyes at me, and starts to come along.

SURPRISE!!

Dinner was so fun and it was so nice to see him with his best buddies - most of whom he's known since high school, all of whom will be Groomsmen.

We went to Rocky Mountain Raceway after. We get there in time to see the first Drag race car go. I've never seen a drag race before. They are SO LOUD. I didn't know to cover my ears. The car goes, and part way down he starts to fish tail. I assume this is normal. Then he turns sideways. Then he starts rolling. And rolling. And running into the guard rail. And exploding. As soon as I saw the explosion, I closed my eyes.

Everyone was deathly silent. You could tell all of the thousands of people there knew they had just watch this guy die. It was horrible. I felt sick.

His car completely disintegrated. Nothing left. The ambulances came.

They announced that he was alive and conscious and being taken to the hospital  I've looked up news of him since but can't find anything. If that guy survives he is meant to be alive and I witnessed a miracle. There is no way someone should have survived the wreck I saw. So grateful he is ok (last I knew).

Besides that, the night was a success. Happy Early 26, Trev the Lev!

Wedding Invites

Our invites are done! We LOVE them! We went with classic invites. The photo ones are all the rage now, but we wanted to go classic. We are printing photo invites we made to send to people who we know will not come, but still want to let know we are getting married.

Hiking

We went hiking. We've been going to the gym a lot. All the time. But I wanted to work out not in the gym. I think I probably enjoyed it more than Trev.

My Ring!

Still can't get enough of my ring. It's SO BEAUTIFUL. And it looks so gorgeous in the light. I still can't stop staring at it.
