Friends
One of the best parts of my wedding was being surrounded by
those people who love me.
At one point, I had a friend doing my hair, a friend doing
my makeup, a friend doing my toes and a friend doing my finger nails – all at
the same time. That is a lot of love from 4 amazing people. I felt pretty
special.
There are so many amazing people in my life, it was so fun
to walk down the aisle and see 9 amazing women on my left, and 9 amazing men on
my right, and the man of my dreams front and center. Not to mention the 4
cutest flower girls and ring bearers ever.
I could have asked so many more amazing women to be one of
my bridesmaids. The hard part was limiting selecting only 3 friends (the other
6 were sisters – and 9 was already way too many!). Luckily Trevor let me ask
Daren to be a Groomsmen, since he had to part of the wedding party but as Daren
put it, “if I walked down the aisle in a dress, everyone would just stare at me
the whole time and they’d not notice you.” Haha, well put Daren. So we opted
for a tie and slacks for him.
So many people took time off of work to be at my wedding,
and flew far – even weathering the great Calgary flood– to be with me. I can’t
express how much that meant to me.
Thank you to everyone who came to the wedding, who gave me
gifts and emotional support. I feel so lucky to have such incredible family and
friends.
