• Julie hates this. I have it written on my whiteboard. She says it bugs her because its true and she gets mad every time she looks at it. Ha! I told her I'd take it down when her karma improves.
• Ever heard of P90X? I've officially begun. There are a group of guys from my work who do it at 6:20 in our office gym every morning. That's right, folks. 6:20. Which means I need to LEAVE my house at 5:50. I've done it for 2 days. I like it – I am sore… all over. I doubt I'll be able to walk tomorrow. Seriously. Today was Plyometrics (jump training). Does that scare you enough? It did me. One of the guys told me his first time he made it half way through and then almost threw up so he laid down the rest of the time. He is not a wuss nor is he obese. So I was terrified. I hate throwing up. Anyways, I did it today. AND – I did as good as the guys who have been doing this for a while. YEAH, BABY! Personal triumph. They were all super impressed. I was impressed. I felt absolutely fit. There was one minor mishap, but I shant disclose that here. I felt really weird about being the only girl, but they are so sweet and nice to me.
• My office is FREEZING. I have been shivering all day. I have a sweater on and my coat around my legs and still I'm dying. I can't focus when I'm this cold. Hence my blog break.
• This is what my world looked like on April 1. So much for April showers bring May flowers. Not that I'm complaining – I LOVE the snow. I love how the trees are blossoming and are pink and perfect, and then there's the snow on them, making it the most superb sight ever.




• Tight Pants Guy is back. He finished his contract and has been gone for a long time - but he's back. I'll try not to embarrass myself by disclosing personal and inappropriate information.
• I'm currently obsessed with these songs:

  These are the songs I listen to over and over all day long. I put my earphones in, listen to my tunes and drown the office out. Which is awesome, considering I work in the middle of the hall. Pretending I can't hear is the best method of work/people avoidance I've found yet.
• My little sister had surgery on her foot. She is doing really well. She's a tough cookie. So my mom is in town to help her out. That leaves Dad, Taylor and Bobbie alone in Saudi. For the first time, more of our family is currently in the States than in Saudi. Weird.
• This week, I like these words:

• I'm going dancing tongiht. Not my favorite country dancing, or clubbing dancing, but Pride and Prejudice (which is my favorite movie and one of my favorite books) dancing. Seriously. The Elizabethean/English Country dancing. You know, when the guys stand on one side, with the girls on the other, and they dance. I've always wanted to learn - and tonight I shall! I can't wait.
• Alpha is over. Weird. SO weird. I now have free time to do... other things. Like tonight, I should be at our Tuesday officer meeting. But it's OVER. So I am free to go dancing. Weird. I'll have to post our end of the year pictures.
• I need to get back to work, even if I am freezing.

Buying Some Time

I was just informed my internship has been extended to mid February – a year from when I started, the maximum time an internship can go. So this is way good news!

This time when I’m home at Christmas (I AM GOING HOME FOR CHIRSTMAS!) I will have a job to come back to. That relieves so much stress. I’ll have more time to figure out what to do from here on out. This is such a HUGE stress reliever for me. Also, it gives more time to try and figure out HOW to get me on as a full-time employee. Odds are still not looking very good for that, however.

So that is my awesome news for today.

Awesome news for Friday – I had a Winter Formal I attended. And I wore my high school prom dress.

Fun thing 1 – It is pretty (the dress)

Fun thing 2 – It was only the second time I’ve been able to wear it (the dress)

Fun thing 3 – It was way fun getting all dressed up (me)

Fun thing 4 – My cute new blue coat looked super cute with it (the dress)

Fun thing 5 – IT FIT! YEAH, BABY! Personal triumph. My high school prom dress fits!

Fun thing 6 – I got it zipped up all by myself. (Becki was going to be home to do it ((It goes all the way up my back – and I’m just not that nimble – or so I thought! HA!)) But then she ended up leaving early. And I was left in a sticky situation. How on earth do I get my dressed zipped up? I am home alone. Do I ask my date to do it? How awkward/inappropriate is that? Or do I just leave it not zipped up and put on my coat, and have one of my friends do it once I got to the formal? Anyways, it all worked out, obviously).

But, I didn’t take any pictures. Sad, yes. But I wasn’t feeling particularly into pictures. And now, of course, I wish I had some. Oh well.

Anyways, today is a good day. There’s a plethora of snow outside, which always makes me happy. And I have a job until at least February. I have time to figure out my life. I had an awesome weekend filled with good friends and food. What more could a girl want? (Lots, but I’m trying not to push my luck…)

I died all our tights. In my trash can at work. I'm awesome. And resourceful. It took all day of them stewing. I'm sure all the guys though I was nuts. But I don't care. I didn't have time to do it at home the night before, and I didn't have a bucket or anything - so I used my trashcan. Then I used the sanitary sacks in the bathroom to wrap the wet tights up for each girl. I felt proud of my ingenuity

*Had to go to the dance - had to ask a guy out for the first time ever

*He was an hour and 1/2 late and I was alone the whole time. Awkward

*I missed my b/f the whole time

*I didn't feel good

*My car was broken into - window smashed to pieces

*All my CD's were stolen. All of them

*A Church projector was stolen

*It cost $200 to get the window replaced

*My date left before the cops even showed up. Left me there alone

My 23rd Birthday Cake a dear friend made me. Tasted even better than it looks. Honest.

The most beautiful shalwar kameez in the whole world. If there was one piece of clothing that epitomizes me - I would have to say this is it. It's blue - naturally. Since everything I own is. And the pink embroidery is the most perfect accent. Did I mention I love this outfit? Thanks to Mrs. Ansari and to Samar... they couldn't have picked better fabric. THANK YOU! I have the best best friend in the world.

Getting ready to party. And believe me, we did. Even if we got hit on by 22 year olds. No biggie, right, Bex?

Becki and I. We're pretty much dating steadily now. Until something a little more masculine comes along, of course. Oh, speaking of. Did I mention some guy at church today said I looked mid to late 20's? I'm molting. But that's another can of worms.

One of the great benefits of living with Becki - she's a hair dresser. This is me sporting my brand new do. I kept getting called a redhead - heaven forbid! This is my solution.
